About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Short-Form Video Editor to join our team and support a U.S.-based lifestyle and entertainment brand.

In this role, you will transform existing long-form videos, podcasts, and recorded content into engaging, high-quality short-form videos for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

The ideal candidate has experience in video editing, understands social media trends, and can independently produce polished, ready-to-publish content.

This position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after 30 days, depending on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit long-form videos and podcast recordings into engaging short-form clips.

• Create high-quality content optimized for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

• Identify interesting and relevant moments from existing footage.

• Add captions, transitions, and basic visual enhancements to improve video quality.

• Ensure consistent branding, video formatting, and overall content quality.

• Organize and maintain edited videos and content files.

• Make revisions based on client feedback.

• Deliver completed videos according to agreed timelines and content schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in short-form video editing for social media.

• Experience repurposing long-form videos, podcasts, or interviews into short-form content.

• Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software.

• Good understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts formats.

• Ability to identify engaging moments and create well-paced videos.

• Strong attention to detail and creativity.

• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home setup.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience editing podcast or interview content.

• Familiarity with lifestyle, fashion, music, entertainment, or community-related content.

• Experience using AI-assisted video editing tools.

• Basic understanding of social media content scheduling and organization.
